 RESEARCHING THE CLIENT

Here I have created 3 different slides for my client research, looking into both the BBC, BBC 3 & Northern voices. Giving these separate slides so that way I was able to add in more detail for each topic, as well there was there was a lot more to add on for this topic.

First is the BBC, gathering all sorts of information to know what I can and can't include in my documentary. Allowing me the blur or block out anything that isn't suitable to be seen in the video. Knowing also how to gather a good amount of audience to discover and enjoy my documentary.

With the BBC 3 if my documentary may be a inappropriate or not suitable for children i am able to boost it on there. Knowing the BBC 3 holds the audience target age I am looking for with my documentary, making me think it will be better to promote my documentary on there as it fits well with my audience and will attract more of a wider audience.

Northern voices allowed me to understand that they can help my audience if struggling with themselves with their gender or regional imbalances, mentioning this so they can see what others said how to deal with it properly.

RESEARCH THE SUBJECT AREA

Finding more out about how my client advertise their projects allows me to understand how to advise my own work to achieve the audience I'm targeting too.

Analysing a documentary gives me inspiration on how I am wanting to present my work and pick up skills and techniques I may need to use to make my documentary professional looking.

AUDIENCE RESEARCH

I decided to make the target audience very simple looking allowing me to understand the main audiences the producers look for when it comes to making documentaries.

I did a audience research to allow me to understand how my audience are as well as what they seem to like so I can create something they will look forward for.

From gathering information about my audience, I was able to produce a mini profile of my audience to know what I will include on my documentary.
