CLIENT RESEARCH Finding out this piece of information so I would have some sort of idea on how I would like to layout my documentary in some similar ways to attract the right audience for me. SUBJECT RESEARCH When analysing this documentary, I was able to pick up on camera angles, way certain shots were taken, how to engage with the people being interviewed and how to make the audience stay focused on my work. WHAT I LEARNED AND DID IT HELP Gaining more information about my audience really help gather what they'd be looking out for in my documentary, having a clearer understanding how I should approach  them through my documentary. WHAT WOULD I CHANGE NEXT TIME Next time I'd probably's change the way I have shot my angles, maybes learn how to fully put it together having a clearer understanding of how to layout a documentary. Also give my self enough time ahead so I am not rushing through as much and will be able to give me time ahead to make sure I have all the clips I...

Final products & feedback

DOCUMENTARY https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=x5JKUl8I4lQ In my documentary it was very clear about what it was about, not letting my audience feel confused about what was happening. I added in some scenery clips so when interviewing it isn't just on one clip for the full time leaving my audience to feel bored, from this I can gain their full attention. I had used mainly white, capitalised text to stand out a bit more from the background, this way my audience will be able to identify what is being said and what extra information is needed to take in. The music in the background can appear upbeat and catchy, making my audience feel happy and quite contained as the music is fitting to the mood that is set, also making the documentary seem more engaging and fun to watch instead of being calm and maybes boring as it is a fun topic to be spoken about and I am wanting my audience to enjoy rather than being sleepy during it.  FEEDBACK:: Erin- "I purely enjoyed the documentary, I t...

TIMETABLE AND WEATHER Making this timetable allows me and my crew to stay on time as well as up to schedule but also lets us know what to focus on that day to complete the to do list. With a weather check, it gives me more of an idea of which days are best to plan things either outside or inside. PLACES TO GO The places to go is very simple as I am mainly wanting to focus on where the people are focusing their music at, also picking destinations that don't have too many people around.  RESOURCE LIST In my resource list I included things that are very important props to use in my documentary as they will be focused on / used to film. RISK ASSESSMENT Having a risk assessment allows me to know the dangers that could occur during filming, this way I can avoid anyone being injured or any equipment being damaged. PERSONNEL LIST On my personnel list, I had listed two people gathering exactly what their role is (this can help them understand what they will be doing when it comes to working...

SKETCH PLAN I created a sketch plan to mainly let me focus on the important things that are needed to be added in the documentary, giving me different camera angles to work with, introduce the characters properly and give scenery scenes to be able to address information. INSPIRATION For my inspiration I wanted to focus on a short documentary, to have knowledge on how they are able to fit all information in with such a small amount of time. That give me a lot of inspiration on how I would like to layout my work. INTERVIEW In my plan for the interview, I added in some starter sentences this way the ones answering  can feel comfortable and a little less under pressure on how to word their responses. Having a script can also help the one asking the questions know what to ask next and what to actually say incase they forget. There was no inspiration for this as I thought it would have been a nice gesture to do for them.

RESEARCHING THE CLIENT  Here I have created 3 different slides for my client research, looking into both the BBC, BBC 3 & Northern voices. Giving these separate slides so that way I was able to add in more detail for each topic, as well there was there was a lot more to add on for this topic.  F irst is the BBC, gathering all sorts of information to know what I can and can't include in my documentary. Allowing me the blur or block out anything that isn't suitable to be seen in the video. Knowing also how to gather a good amount of audience to discover and enjoy my documentary.   With the BBC 3 if my documentary may be a inappropriate or not suitable for children i am able to boost it on there. Knowing the BBC 3 holds the audience target age I am looking for with my documentary, making me think it will be better to promote my documentary on there as it fits well with my audience and will attract more of a wider audience. Northern voices allowed me to understand t...

Interpreting the brief

Image
For my brief I wanted to still keep it simple but understanding for what I will be making and why I'm doing it. Inserting images that indicate to the topic I have been assigned with. Main points - Addressing who my client is to help my audience know that it is a well known company and the documentary will most likely be taken seriously since the BBC has many successful documentaries. Making the age group aiming for clear, this way maybes the audience will tell others around them, this way more people from the age aimed for will enlarge.   Small summery- Giving a small summery to address briefly what I am needing to do as well as why I am needing to do these things. Context- Explaining here why I have been assigned this topic, given the theme as well what I am convincing my audience. From that I have a clearer understanding on what I am needing to make this documentary successful.

CLIENT RESEARCH Finding out this information to have an idea how they built their company to be so large with audiences so I am able to use most popular cameras and use them for the front of one of my covers. SUBJECT RESEARCH With the old designs from products they personally sold so I can gather some inspiration to how they marketed their work. WHAT I LEARNT AND DID IT HELP? I learnt more about my audience by creating questions to ask in person and digitally, from having a focus group they were able to ask me questions as well. Learning more about the audience helped me to be able to create a profile of what they seemed to like the most, giving me an easier understanding on how to layout my work.  WHAT WOULD I CHANGE NEXT TIME? Next time I will give more of a variety of topics for a larger group to chose from so it creates a bigger audience as well as I'll have a wider understanding of what others like. FILMING While I was taking pictures, I had left my SD card at home makin...
