Investigation and analysis
Researching the client
When looking at my client background page, the images catch your eye, allowing them to be able to see the difference of how photos first appeared and how much each camera had progressed through out the years. The purpose of adding in these images were to show the true evaluation whilst appearing simple. Not only have I shown the images produced but also the camera makes through the years, these were added to have a realisation of how cameras were once seen as and if wanting to recreate the type of images then the correct cameras can be seen and used. With the paragraph it is talking about where about and the make of the first camera to be produced through canon. Having small facts about the cameras and images is to understand why and how canon had produced there cameras.
Researching the subject area
Here I prepared three of canon articles, this was to show a wider difference but similarity's of each one. This is as they can all be seen with different information, different backgrounds and themes, yet they all have colours that don't clash together and make it hard to be able to identify each bit of information for an example one of the backgrounds is an imagine of a lake, with that they added a yellow font for part of the subheadings, this is because yellow is a lot more easier to identify from blue adding in a green blue or black can clash and make it difficult to read, the reasoning for the black front is some of the text is seen partially on a hill which is to contain darker shades. In the paragraph besides the advertisements, I broke down important parts of the articles comparing them to one another as well as picking up ideas I can use when it comes to planning my front cover.
Wanting to go further in deep with the work of canon productions, I analysed one of the articles to gain inspiration and be able to release a front cover to cover so much detail yet make it seem so simple when looking at it. Having annotations for the clients work allows me have a better understanding on how to structure my own work, finding out what small or large amount of detail they add and how they present it will make it easier for me to accomplish.
For magazine articles, it mostly appears with far too much information which can be suffocating for some so with my designs found with topics many tend to love, I hope that it'll bring more of a wider audience and won't appear too confusing or taking the focus off the main point of the article.
Here I analysed my main inspiration for my work, picking out every detail it was successful for giving me a template on what to add and create for my magazine. Doing this makes it easier to edit and to take photos similar to achieve the success they did with their work.
Audience research
For my audience research I had made a survey asking a random group of people to answer questions related on the topics and the likes/dislikes they all had, this ended up making it a lot more easier for me to have an understanding of what photos I'd be taking focus on. Having them also being interested into portrait photos, gives me the inspiration to add onto my magazine to allow other likes valid. As I only really gather information for the audiences liking I decided to add on a focus group to go more in depth and to find out the layout, colour scheme as well as other important parts my audience seem to like most when it comes to other articles. From my focus group I am hoping to hear some feedback on what else they'd like to see for my article in hopes it brings a wider crowd of audience. LINK
Feed back from audience
FEEDBACK: Erin Usher: I like the design of the first one more than the other as it appears more spacious and can be more appealing to the audience.
